DON'T LET ANYONE
DULL YOUR SHINE
YOU ARE I'MPORTANT
I’MPORTANT is a mental health advocacy group that focuses on empowering middle and high school students across the tri-state area to embrace their intrinsic self-worth.
Why Choose I'MPORTANT?
In 2021, more than 4 in 10 (42%) students felt persistently sad or hopeless and nearly one-third (29%) experienced poor mental health. This was further underscored by the disheartening revelation that more than 1 in 5 (22%) students contemplated the notion of suicide, with 1 in 10 (10%) even attempting it. The repercussions of these struggles extended far beyond mere emotional turmoil. The impact rippled through multiple facets of teenagers’ lives, from academic performance to decision-making, and even their physical health.
