A graduate of Roger Bacon High School. Alex received the 1995 Spirit Award.
A top award given to a Senior that best demonstrates school spirit and community service at the highest level.
Alex has a Communication Degree from the University of Cincinnati (2000) and was a member of the Bearcats Mens Basketball team under the Hall of Fame Coach, Bob Huggins.
After finishing college, he wrote a book entitled, “Walk Of A Lifetime.” In 2001, it was ranked the #6 best seller according to The Cincinnati Enquirer. He released the audio book version on Amazon Audible in 2021 for the 20th Anniversary.
In 2011, he worked with Michael Jordan’s Company on the Air Jordan Bin V sneaker. Only 3,000 were made worldwide and sold out in a day.
Alex has been the President of Shining Star Sports since 2001. Operating over 40 youth boys AAU basketball teams in the Greater Cincinnati area. Along with overseeing four contract basketball facilities that conduct individual basketball training, basketball clinics and basketball camps.
Over the last 22 years he has done a variety of media work and public speaking. Currently has a tv segment on Local 12 WKRC discussing high school basketball in the Greater Cincinnati area. Alex has a youtube interview series called, “What’s In Your Bag?” and hosts two podcasts for the University of Cincinnati basketball team. He has conducted over 300 speaking engagements for schools, sports teams, companies and youth organizations
Currently Alex serves on the Board of Trustees for The Greater Cincinnati Boys and Girls Clubs along with being a Board Member for the Talbert House, Fatherhood Project.
