Patty’s educational journey began at Xavier University, where she pursued her higher education. Graduating from Xavier with both her Bachelor and Masters degrees, she developed a deep understanding of educational theories and practices. During her time at Xavier University, Patty was dedicated to both academics and sports as she also participated as an intercollegiate volleyball player, showcasing her commitment to discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.
With a solid foundation in education and a passion for athletics, Patty transitionedseamlessly into the role of a coach. Leveraging her personal experience as a formerathlete, she embarked on a journey of mentoring and guiding young athletes to achievetheir full potential at the college, high school and elementary levels. Her multifacetedrole as a coach allowed her to instill not only sports skills but also essential life skillssuch as leadership, time management, and resilience.
Recognizing her impact as an expert in the field, Xavier University welcomed Patty as an adjunct faculty member in the Education department. In this capacity, she shared her insights and experiences with aspiring educators, contributing to the development of the next generation of teachers. Patty’s commitment to holistic education led her to focus on supporting college athletes as a learning specialist. Her affiliation with Cincinnati Children’s’ Hospital project ECHO, and One Deer Park showcases her human-centered and solution-oriented approach. Currently, Patty serves as the Director of Student Services at Deer Park Schools, where her multifaceted experience is channeled into enhancing the educational journey of students. Her role involves overseeing and implementing student support programs, ensuring an inclusive and enriching learning environment for all.
